A near death experience left A Healing Touch (AHT) inspirational speaker and recording artist, Dallas, in a wheelchair, with congestive heart failure, pulmonary edema, broken ribs and unable to walk or use her right hand.
AHT believes I John 1:7 “Walk in the Light as He is in the Light” is the way to live, love and share life.
Through this blog, AHT thanks God for His “Healing Touch” and reminds readers that “there is always a LIGHT of HOPE that shines in our darkest hour”.
AHT – THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL
You have probably heard the familiar saying, “there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel”. Those may be some of the toughest words to hear while you are engulfed in the darkest shadows of sadness, depression or pain!
AHT – LET PATRIOTISM SHINE WHEN YOU HEAR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM!
I have always been patriotic. I often get tears in my eyes when singing the National Anthem and ALWAYS when watching the sporting re-caps of the Olympics, Superbowl and Stanley Cup victories. From my younger years until now, I’ve always been a sentimental gal. I’ve also been know to ask my hubby to pull the car over just so I could take a picture of a beautiful American flag billowing in the wind. I am PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!
AHT – FINDING STRENGTH IN THE MIDST OF A HURRICANE!
I just love how God knows the perfect verse to give us during our times of bible study and devotion! In those moments, we are reassured that HE is near and that HE directs our path.
Do you ever wonder why, when the events in our lives are going ever so smoothly, a hurricane hits and blows everything to shreds? In the aftermath, we are left picking up the pieces and questioning why “bad things happen to good people”. Sometimes we can barely summons the physical and emotional strength needed to make it through each new day, let alone a hurricane!

Ladies,
As I read this poem, I nodded my head in agreement. I chuckled. I welled up with pride thinking of my children and their accomplishments. I thought of how lucky I am that my husband knows how to make me smile on the days I need it the most! My heart ached as I realized I am still grieving the loss of my dearest friend and mentor. I prayed that my heart would continue to be filled with joy, hope and love…and…that I would never stop sharing them with others.
AHT – REACH OUT TO PEOPLE IN NEED. JOB 6:14NLV
This verse in the Old Testament book of Job really caught my attention today. Job 6:14NLV says “Kindness from a friend should be shown to a man without hope…”
I can only thank God for leaving these words to remind us to “Reach Out” to people in need!
The words really hit close to home, because they send me back to the days I lived through my “Darkest Hour” of dire need and the ominous feeling of helplessness.

AHT – WAIT ON THE LORD! Psalm 130
I thank God for times like today when HE shines HIS light a little “brighter” on my pathway so I can clearly see the direction I am supposed to go.
Boy, was I in for a surprise today!. While I quietly studied Psalm 130, HIS message was loud and clear. HE said “wait on me and put your hope in my word”. My initial reaction was a silent “Ugh!”. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a “mover and a shaker” and always on the go! I can be a bit impatient, especially if I’m not being productive. To give you an example, my husband asks, “do you want to ‘listen’ to a movie tonight” instead of “do you want to watch a movie tonight” because I will always have a “project” to work on at the same time.
